GOSH! It's Joanna Lumley in Conversation with Gyles Brandreth

15 September 2019

Gyles Brandreth (author, broadcaster, One Show reporter, Just A Minute regular, and editor of the Oxford Book of Theatrical Anecdotes), invites national treasure Joanna Lumley to join him on stage at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, to talk about her extraordinary life and career – and to share and perform some of her favourite pieces of poetry. From her childhood in Kashmir to starring on Broadway, from her days as a model in the Swinging Sixties through The New Avengers to Absolutely Fabulous, Gyles takes Joanna on a roller-coaster ride through a unique life with amazing (and frequently hilarious) stories of her times with everyone from David Niven to Will.i.Am – interspersed with magical moments from some of her favourite poets, from Edward Lear to John Betjeman.

Proceeds from this very special event are going to the Great Ormond Street Hospital GOSH Appeal and the Theatre Royal Haymarket Masterclass Trust nurturing new talent in the arts.

This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to see one our most-loved actresses in person.Laughter and tears guaranteed. Tickets include a copy of Gyles Brandreth’s new anthology of poems to learn by heart – Dancing By The Light Of The Moon, signed by Gyles.
