Fane Productions work with a diverse range of artists at the top of their respective professions, for whom live work adds an exciting dimension to their principal careers. An innovative and collaborative company, we work alongside agents, publishers and producers with a focus on creating dynamic live platforms to present and promote both the client and their work; be that a book, TV series, podcast or other venture.

Over 450,000 tickets were sold in the first two years through events with artists including John le Carré, Margaret Atwood, Nigella Lawson, Dolly Alderton, Stacey Dooley, Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Grayson Perry.

The programming team produce the Sunday nights at the Theatre Royal Haymarket and the Bridge Theatre, as well as programming over 700 shows per year at central London venue, Crazy Coqs. Other programming collaborations include Authors on Stage at the National Theatre in August and September 2019.

Words Weekend – Fane Productions’ very own take on a literary festival – launches this December at Sage Gateshead, with the next two announced as The Lowry in Salford and Regent's Park Open Air Theatre in 2020.

In December 2018 Fane Productions acquired JHI Ltd, a creative marketing company who provide marketing, ticketing and digital expertise across all Fane Productions events and for live theatre events, both nationally and internationally.

Upcoming highlights include Margaret Atwood live in over 1500 cinemas across the globe, Armistead Maupin’s first theatre UK tour and Nadiya Hussain touring her biography.


Alex Fane
Managing Director

The 25-year-old entrepreneur formed Fane Productions in February 2017 as an independent set-up with Fane’s full team, client roster and with financial backing from Original Talent Limited. Beginning his career aged 18 as the Assistant Maitre D’ at Brasserie Zedél, then moving over to manage the Crazy Coqs Cabaret & Jazz Club, Fane chose not to go to university, instead forming Fane Management aged 19 in 2014 with his first clients including; Anne Reid, Celia Imrie and the Delfont Mackintosh group. In 2015, Fane Management was acquired by United Agents. Fane went on to set up and run their music arm for two years, United Music, before leaving to set-up Fane Productions.

James Albrecht

James joined Fane Productions in November 2016 to head up the venue side of the operation. He is currently responsible for the programme at Live at Zédel with over 800 shows a year. Prior to joining Fane Productions James was Associate Artistic Director and then Creative Director at St. James Theatre, which he helped establish as one of London’s leading Off West End venues, culminating in its acquisition by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Theatre Group in 2016. His five years at St. James, seeing it from building site to vibrant cultural space, afforded James a wealth of experience in programming multiple art forms as diverse as theatre, musical theatre, comedy, cabaret, music and spoken word. He also produced and co-produced a number of productions.

Jess Hughes

Jess has been part of the company since its inception working alongside Alex on every aspect of the business. She now heads up the Public Figures Department managing all aspects of our tours and one-off events from booking & production, through to marketing, strategy, logistics and PR. Development of relationships with new venues and clients is another key role within Jess’ remit.
In her own time, Jess is a proud activist, a massive nature geek and one half of DJ Duo, Deaf By Disco. Labelled as 'Festival Favourites' By Bestival, playing everywhere from sweaty basement clubs in London to festival crowds of over 20,000.

David Sabel

David joined Fane Productions at the end of 2018 to develop and produce a number of projects alongside development work at Cuba Pictures. He was previously the Director of Creative Development at London Theatre Company as a founding member of the team that launched the Bridge Theatre. For eight years, David was the Director of Broadcast and Digital at the National Theatre where he created NT Live and produced a number of award-winning documentaries and the National’s fiftieth anniversary gala (broadcast live on BBC) and served as Executive Producer on the feature film of London Road. He trained as an actor at Northwestern University and Jacques Lecoq and received an MBA from Cambridge University.

Serena Brett

Having gained experience from the National Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre, Finborough Theatre and talent agency Curtis Brown, Serena joined Fane Productions in November 2017. She is a key member of the Public Figures Department, working on all elements of the production, from our artists’ tours to one-off events, whilst also producing shows with her own clients. Prior to working in the 'biz', Serena trained as a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor in Thailand.

Lucy Bond
Production Coordinator

Lucy joined Fane Productions in early 2019, to support the Public Figures Department. She is the first point of contact for the company and manages the day to day running of Fane Productions. Lucy previously worked as a creative producer and produced radio, film and workshops for S.P.I.D Theatre, and has worked in production for Punchdrunk. Lucy also runs the theatre company Two Pale Ladies, and studied at Queen Mary University before training at Jacques Lecoq.


Beth Gallimore
Artistic Director

Beth joined the company in May to run Fane's new spoken word festival, Words Weekend. Beth’s background is festival and concert production, having previously worked at Southbank Centre, EFG London Jazz Festival, Serious and Sage Gateshead, where the first Words Weekend will take place in December 2019!

Sórcha Bradford
Festival Coordinator

With a background in literature and spoken word programming, Sórcha joined Fane in August 2019 to support the delivery of Words Weekend. Sórcha's previous role on the Literature team at Southbank Centre saw her programme events for London Literature Festival and Poetry International as well as produce the Man Booker 50 Festival in 2017. Prior to this, she was an Assistant Director in film and TV.


Andy Hornby
Joint Head of Events (Live at Zédel)

With a background in talent representation, entertainment marketing and hospitality, Andy joined Fane Productions in the Spring of 2017 to focus on the company marketing and administrative support for Live At Zédel. As of January 2018, Andy is Head of Events and in charge of the day to day show management and programming at Crazy Coqs.

Charlotte Moore
Executive Assistant to Alex Fane

Following the acquisition of JHI Marketing, Charlotte joined Fane Productions at the beginning of 2019 to work closely with Alex Fane as part of this exciting merge with the two companies. Her interest in live events led Charlotte to joining JHI Marketing in November 2017 where her career has taken her from Campaigns Assistant to Executive Assistant to the Directors.
